Do I need a degree to teach TEFL?
For most online platforms (Cambly, italki, Preply) a degree is NOT required — a 120-hour TEFL certificate and native or fluent English is enough. To teach in-person abroad, some countries (China, South Korea, UAE) require a bachelor's degree for a work visa, but many other countries (Spain, Vietnam, Latin America) do not.

Online: $10–$25 per hour typical, $30+ for specialist niches. Abroad: £1,200–£3,000 per month (often with accommodation included) depending on country and school type.
