Now applying to teach English abroad

I came to learndirect wanting to teach English abroad but felt nervous about studying again after a long break. The TEFL course was so well organised and easy to follow, with practical teaching knowledge I could actually use in a classroom. The tutor support and feedback were genuinely encouraging at every stage, which kept me motivated through the busier weeks. The materials were clear and the guidance felt professional throughout. I finished feeling confident and ready to teach, and I would happily recommend the course to anyone thinking about taking the same step.

TEFL qualified and recommending to others

I chose a TEFL qualification to open up teaching opportunities, and the whole experience was smoother than I expected. Whenever I needed help with the course content or my certificate, the response was quick and the answers were clear and valid. Studying online meant I could work through the modules at my own pace without putting my life on hold. The structure made it easy to stay on track and build my confidence module by module. For anyone considering a TEFL course, I would recommend this one without hesitation – the support behind it makes a real difference.

The course was explained clearly from the start, so I always understood what was expected and how each module fitted together. Formalising senior management experience

I signed up for the CMI Level 7 Diploma to formalise the management experience I had built up over the years. From the outset everything was laid out clearly, from the modules to a flexible payment plan that made the course affordable around my salary. Studying at this level alongside a full-time job took discipline, but the way the programme is structured kept me focused and moving forward. The content felt relevant to the decisions I make at work every day. I would recommend it to any senior manager looking to back up their experience with a recognised qualification.

Working towards Maths and English

My daughter was unable to finish her GCSEs due to poor mental health, and we worried she had missed her chance to get the Maths and English she needs. Signing up was straightforward and the flexible, study-from-home approach felt like the ideal way for her to work towards those qualifications at a pace that suits her. Being able to learn in a calm environment, without the pressure of a classroom, has made a real difference to her confidence. It feels like a genuine second route back into education, and we are hopeful about where it leads.

I had a query about my course completion date and how long I had left to study, which had been playing on my mind. As soon as I reached out, the issue was looked into and resolved within minutes, and I came away feeling completely reassured about my timeline.
